The Opportunity: 1st Class Access Control is recruiting for service work & preventative maintenance on access control equipment. The right candidate for this position would be a self motivated and conscientious worker striving continually towards excellence in workmanship & time management. A team player who takes pride and ownership of work performance.
Qualifications Include :
- 3+ years of access control experience preferred
- High School Diploma / Trade school(s) or any other related training for gate automation, mechanical, electrical, welding, etc
- Service on all makes and models of gate operators, telephone entry systems, card readers, gate hardware and access control – related equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose failed access control equipment in the field.
- Ability to program telephone entry systems, keypads and card readers.
- Work with low voltage, 110 volt and 220 volt circuits, wiring and electrical panels.
- Communicate confidently with management, support staff, customers, fellow employees, vendors and sub contractors.
- Self -starter who is able to work effectively without regularly needing to be told what to do.
- Keep overall truck appearance (clean, organized, safe, handle company property and equipment with respect with safety first and maintain proper inventory levels on vehicle).
- Follow dress code for overall personal appearance.
- Be respectful and courteous to customers during service work and new installations.
- Be respectful and courteous to fellow employees.
- Use time efficiently keeping 1st Class Access Control’s support staff advised of work conditions that might cause a project/job to take longer than scheduled.
- Be on time to start your shift and get approval for ANY overtime.
- Able to fill out work orders, as built information, monitor job progress and other related company documents.
- Able to lift 70 pounds.
- Must be able to pass pre employment drug test and medical examination.
- Able to take directions and work well with the Field Director and others.
- Valid CA driver’s license and good driving record. Must be insurable by 1st Class Access Control’s auto insurance provider.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

1st Class Access Control is recruiting for gate fabrication professionals. The right candidate for this position will have great communication skills both verbal and written. Although it is not mandatory the ideal candidate would also be highly skilled in carpentry.
Qualifications include:
- 1+ years of in gate fabrication
- 2+ years of welding experience
- Handyman experience
- Proficient in reading plans or drawings (Willing to train)
- Team & customer first attitude
- Desire to learn and grow with the company
- Clean driving record
- Basic understanding of high and low voltage with the use of a meter to test voltage levels in both AC and DC proper safe use of hand tools, grinders, and drills.
- Experience:
- Gate Fabrication: 1 years (Preferred)
- Clean Driving Record: 3 years (Required)
- Welding: 3 years (Prefered)
